Sweeping layers of turquoise, aqua, soft blue, white, and deep teal flow across Morning View, creating an abstract landscape filled with movement and depth. Fluid lines travel through the composition like currents, coastlines, or paths carved through the earth, while translucent washes and organic textures allow the colors to shift and overlap. Designed to be displayed in multiple orientations, Morning View can be rotated to completely change the perspective and allow the collector to choose the view that speaks to them.

For me, this painting is tied to a very specific time and place. When I was 20 years old, I worked doing hair aboard a cruise ship traveling through the Hawaiian Islands. At the time, I was obsessively listening to Incubus on my CD Walkman. More than 25 years later, that album still immediately takes me back there. I love how music can hold onto a memory so completely—the place, the feeling, even who you were at that moment in your life. I didn’t set out to paint Hawaii, but while listening to Incubus, those colors, memories, and my lifelong pull toward the ocean naturally found their way onto the canvas.
