For me, Release reflects a direction my work has naturally been taking. Over my last several paintings, I've found myself increasingly drawn to landscapes shaped by land and water—the way flowing currents carve through rock, soften edges, and quietly transform the earth over time. As Pearl Jam played in the background throughout the creative process, this painting became a reflection of stillness, movement, and the quiet strength found in letting go.
